Between 1915 and 1939 Willard Bean lived in the Joseph Smith home in Palmyra, NY. During that time he did some of the first research into Book of Mormon geography. Together with his co-author, E. Cecil McGavin, he wrote the book "Geography of the Book of Mormon".
